Photography is a way of being in the world.
I work slowly, observing and returning to the same places, allowing time to shape the images.
I rarely think of a photograph as a single, isolated frame. Reportage is my natural language, and it is through sequences — through series and bodies of work — that I try to build a narrative.
My projects arise from encounters with people, places and traditions that continue to resist the passage of time and the threat of disappearance. Documenting that resistance is at the heart of my work.
